Jamie Oliver Wants You To Eat More Creatively

International celebrity-chef phenom Jamie Oliver wants us to eat our best so that we can be our best. He also wants us to spend more time in the kitchen–cooking–and really enjoy ourselves. This video from 2010, entitled Try Something New, really gets that point across.

What new foods have you tried lately? Community-development social network, Leave It Better, asks the same question on their Facebook page. I wrote bok choy and lychees!

E.A.T. World… Get Out Your Maps and Skillets

So, I’m a little late on the uptake on this one, but E.A.T. World (stands for Eating Around The World—clever, no?) is a fantastic initiative which encourages folks to try dishes from all over the globe. You try your hand at cooking— or tasting— foods from as many different places as you can, starting from A and working your way to Z. We’re Back!

As you can tell from our last post back in err, April ’09, GoVee has been on a bit of a hiatus. When we first started this site, we were young, inexperienced, and frankly, easily distracted. Not anymore. Well, technically we’re still in our early twenties, and I’m personally still drawn to anything which seems more interesting than what I’m working on at any given moment, which is typically anything other than what I’m working on at any given moment… especially if its pink or sparkling… But experience we’ve got! We’ve had nearly a year’s worth of recipe tasting, lifestyle self-education, and management and operations practice, which is now fueling us forward. Not to mention the shame of leaving our baby dormant for 9 months. But hey, 9 months has given us just enough time to birth a better, more active site.

So here we are—GoVee is back in business, and we’re even more committed to creating a community, and education space around the vegan, vegetarian and pescetarian lifestyles. Please comment on posts, and submit recipes and story ideas—we want this to be a space for creating dialog and exchanging ideas. We appreciate you being here with us at the start, and we look forward to a long and exciting journey with you!

All the best,
The GoVee Team
