For the first recipe, I figured I would start with something simple—Crash Hot Potatoes. Very little ingredients are needed, but that doesn’t make it any less tasty. Sometimes the best things are the easiest.

Source: The Pioneer Woman
Makes: Whatever you wish
Takes: Less than a hour
Ingredients
- Small potatoes
- Olive oil
- Kosher Salt
- Black Pepper
- A little rosemary
Directions
-
Preheat your oven to 450 and start boiling a pot of salt water. Once the water’s boiling, throw in your small potatoes, adding as many as you wish. Keep them in there until they are tender.
-
Pull out a sheet pan (perhaps while the potatoes are boiling) and drizzle it with olive oil, keeping in mind the oil will help prevent the potatoes from sticking.
-
Keeping adequate space between them, place your tender potatoes on the sheet pan. Then, with a potato masher, mash each potato twice—once halfway down, and once more with the masher rotated 90 degrees. Be careful not to completely flatted the potato though.
-
Brush each with some olive oil, and then sprinkle them kosher salt, black pepper, and rosemary.
-
Bake for 20-25 minutes (or until nice and brown) and enjoy!
Let me know what you think. And thanks to The Pioneer Woman for the great recipe and beautiful photo.
