Vegan Earth Day Launches in Berkeley, 4/22!

Berkeley Vegan Earth Day

I’ve had the pleasure of supporting communication efforts for the Berkeley Vegan Earth Day celebration, happening April 22nd on the UC Berkeley Campus. This is a phenomenal event–the first of its kind in the Bay Area– produced by Karine Brighten Events (remember the SF Vegan Fashion Show?). I suggest you pick up tickets asap– admission is $15 for adults, $10 with student ID, and seats are selling out fast!

Vegan Earth Day will feature a screening of award-winning feature documentary, “Call of Life, Facing the Mass Extinction” by Species Alliances, followed by a panel discussion with the David Ulansey, Executive Producer of “Call of Life ,” Katherine Connors of Food Empowerment Project, Alex Eaves of Stay Vocal and Hope Bohanec of In Defense of Animals. This expert panel will be moderated by Rose Aguilar, San Francisco journalist and author, and host of “It’s Your Call.”

Check out berkeleyveganearthday.com for more info about the events, and for regular updates via the Vegan Earth Day blog. Also, hit the site to pick up your tickets!
